What's Happening June / July 08
We have taken a long time to get another update out because we have been working on a new beer, a new website and a newsletter system that will regularly send you updates on the latest news. A new website will be launched soon with full online ordering (you can use the downloadable order form http://www.gulfbrewery.com.au/GulfBreweryOrderForm.pdf until the new site is up). The new site will have all of our beers and also merchandise like T-Shirts, Stubby Holders and label sets for the collectors as well.
Social Clubs
Do you have a social club and wish to have a group tasting session and a group purchase? We provide a discounted rate for all products purchased through a social club. All we ask is that you do order and pay for it as a single order. If you are in the Adelaide metro area, we will even deliver free of charge to your work location. In Adelaide we have added the Jolly Miller to the list of outlets and the Grange Hotel is still one of the best outlets for our beers in Adelaide. In Victoria, the Yarragon Ale House has been added to the list. We will be emailing out an update with the launch of the new website. Tasting Australia - Feast for the Senses, Elder Park Oct 13 and 14
Gulf Brewery and several other breweries will be at Tasting Australia on Oct 13 and 14 in a SA Microbrewers marquee. Come and sample a great range of locally brewed beers.
Kitten 9 Tails was the Bull and Bear's Beer of the Month - August 2007
The Bull and Bear in King William St, Adelaide selected the Kitten 9 Tails Oktoberfest as their beer of the month for August. We expect to provide another beer of the month before the end of the year to teh Bull and Bear

Australian International Beer Awards 19/4/2007
This year was our first year in entering the Australian International Beer Awards where we compete with other Australian Microbreweries. The Humpback Pale Ale and the Pilot's Light both received bronze awards. The beers we entered were just off the bottling run, so what you buy in the shops is what was entered into the competitions.
Bottling line update 28/2/2007 We get asked every few days about bottled beer. Well, it is coming. We are working madly on fine tuning the bottling line between other jobs. It is close to right, but just not perfect, and we only want the best beer to go out.

We have updated the beers page with a lot more information about the beers. We also have uploaded the font decals for each of them.
Another update - finally! 30/11/2006
The time between updates has been too long, but there has been a lot happening behind the scenes. Firstly, the bottling line is on order and should ship within a few weeks.  We have been spending a lot of time organising labels and packaging and hope to have beer bottled by the end of the year for sale early next year. More details to follow in the next newsletter.
Secondly, the Microbrewers of South Australia have formed the SA Microbrewers Association (SAMBA). You can read an article about SAMBA (with the picture of Geoff from the FAD Bar) on the Advertiser page here.
